General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

After MTP distension of abdomen is common for maximally a week. In case there is some digestive disturbance after procedure, it can last longer & would be controlled after replacement of lactobacilli preparation. But in case it is accompanied by pain, fever, cramps or bleeding, consult your treating doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
