What Causes Erythematous Lesion On Neck With Burning Sensation?
Hi, I ve have had papulo erithematous lesions on both sides of the neck and retroauricular area for + 2 wks accompanied by burning sensations and somewhat and painful; not improving with valacyclovir. Herpes Simplex? Should I see a dermatologist? Never had them before. I do suffer from HSV on lips and around area since I was a child. Thank you.

I really appreciate your concern, you can try "Calamine lotion" if this is the viral infection alone then it will be okay soon, still just to rule out the associated infection and condition it is better to see the dermatologist, hope this information helps.
