What Causes Erectile Dysfunction With Excessive Semen Production?

I am experiencing an increased production of semen when I am engaged in foreplay before intercourse. I then have difficulty with an erection and have been taking Viagra to help with this. A week and a half ago I spent the night with a lady and my erection didn t dissapate all night but I couldn t ejaculate much ( only once). Later that night I woke with a massive headache and very painful jaw as well. Since that night I have not had an erection apart from when I awake in the morning and I have had some pain in my testicles as well, alternating between the two. I have tried since to have sex with little success and still with excess semen production when not even erect... I have had blood tests for STD s and an ultrasound to check for torsion in the past but I still have a recurring pain in my testicles and the other symptoms I ve mentioned, which has been treated with antibiotics. Why would this keep happening and is it a possible sign of something more serious?

Hi,

Erection problems can have many causes. These include:Physical problems, such as injury to nerves or loss ofblood supply to the penis .

Other health problems, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety, anddepression.Side effects of certain medicines.

Stress. Drinking too much alcohol or smoking. The exam, lab tests, and sometimes mental health tests can help find out the cause of the problem.

Tretament is based on cause and include avoiding tobacco and drugs and limiting alcohol.

Also, talking about the issue with your partner, doing sensual exercises, and getting counseling may be beneficial.

Finding and then stopping medicines that may be causing the problem. In some cases you can take a different medicine that doesn't cause erection problems.

Taking prescription medicine that can help you get erections. These include pills such as sildenafil (for example, Viagra), tadalafil (for example, Cialis).

In most cases this is sufficient for treatment but you should just be patient and do necessary tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Iven Romic Rommstein
