What Causes Elevated Liver Enzymes When Suffering From Sciatica?

I have had 2 shots in my back for sciatica and now I m having back surgery to relieve pain from sciatica. Pre surgery blood test show slightly elevated liver enzymes. Ast-56. Alt-111 I m a 41 yr old male. Can the damage to my back cause elevated enzymes?
