What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels And Body Rashes?

My blood pressure for some reason is high today. A few days a go I broke out in hives. Today I just did not feel right like I wanted to vomit. I took an aka seltzer and it feels a bit better. What should I try to do to get my bp down? The bottom number is 95 which is high for me. I am 61. The highest its ever been with bp medication is 80. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is possible that the increased blood pressure may be part of your body stress response. The hives are part of the allergic reaction which would stress the body and the ill sensation that you are experiencing may also affect your blood pressure as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
