What Causes Elevated Blood Pressure Levels After A Plastic Surgery?
I had a plastic surgery S lift 2 years ago . My blood pressure shot up and I had a after surgery.I had a hematoma and I was rushed back to surgery My left side of my face has sunk in .Do you think that was cause to the hematoma? What is some possibilities in your experience? I am going to see another plastic surgeon in a larger town. My surgery was not a success and I am looking at having surgery again.
First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, hematoma could have been due to some bleeding vessel inside or because of blood pressures shooting up causing already prone blood vessel rupture at the site. In either case, post-op blood pressure management and monitoring would have been better.
Now for repeat surgery, the same precautions should be monitored along with coagulation profile and a bit of endocrine work up like urinary methane levels beforehand.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin,
General & Family Physician
