General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

SGPT is normally found largely in the liver. It is released into the bloodstream as the result of the liver injury.

The normal range of values for SGPT is about 7 to 56 units per litre of serum. However, the ranges of ALT numbers may differ slightly depending on the technique and protocols used by different laboratories worldwide.

So I don't think there is a need to worry and anyway uric acid medicine does not have any bad effect on the liver.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
