What Causes Edema On The Feet And Ankles While On Parlodel?

I was diagnosed with hypertension, and most recently a pituitary tumor. Thus I m taking Lisinopril/Hctz and Bromocriptine. I ve taken the Lisinopril for several years without any major issues; however, I ve only been on the Parlodel (Bromocriptine) for one month. For the past few days I have been experiencing edema in both feet/ankles. Do you think the Bromocriptine is interacting with the Lisinopril?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM

Bromocriptine and lisinopril do not interact with each other. However, edema is a common side effect while taking bromocriptine. Edema will subside once bromocriptine is discontinued.

Hope this answers your question
