What Causes Easy Bruising And Bleeding From The Gums?

My daughter says she is bruising easily, gums bleeding, and little scratches bleeding and bruising. She also isn t eating as she has no appetite and food isn t appealing to her. She recently started exercising and has lost quite a bit of weight (a good thing). I told her to contact the doctor s office and get a CBC. Concerned about her platelets.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Easy bruising and bleeding gums can be seen in cases like deficiency of clotting factors or clotting disorders, reduced platelets, aplastic anemia etc..

So first of all you should consult a Haematologist and get evaluated and a Complete blood count should be done and if needed further investigations like Peripheral blood smear should be done..

Treatment can be done only after the exact cause can be ruled out..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
