What causes earache and tinnitus?

I took my husband to the ER on sunday night for ear pain and ringing and some dark wax pouring out...they irrigated it and then after looked at it theyvsaid it was red inside and some fluid in ear. They prescribed him antibiotics. Today is now tuesday and he had some bleeding coming out of ear, small amount. He says he has no pain but still cant hear well. Is this normal? And should i be taking him back to the ER? Thanks!

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would explain that his symptoms could be related to an ear infection. It is quite normal to wait sometime before gaining hearing ability again.

For this reason, I recommend waiting some days and see if his situation improves.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
