What Causes Ear Swelling With Slight Pain After Ear Wax Removal?
I had ear wax removed from my left ear 2 days ago by ent doctor after instilling for a week a solution to soften the wax. Even if my hearing is now ok my ear feels swollen and I havea slight pain. could it be an infection and why do I get it? D id the doctor mabe do something wrong.?
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. I understand your concern and as you have swelling and pain in your ear after removal of ear wax 2 days back, I would like to tell you that some times after softening the ear wax the chances of fungal infection in the ear increases.
Similarly in your case, it appears there is fungal infection so you may try - Ear drop containing Anti fungal + Antibiotic + Analgesic. As you asked that is it some mistake by your doctor, for this I would like to say if your doctor is an ENT specialist then chances of trauma to ear is unlikely.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
