What Causes Dull Pain Below Right Rib Cage And Abdominal Pain?

Have been having a dull pain under right rib cage that comes and goes. When seeing the doc she pallpated my abdomen and my pain was then more localized around the belly button and up the right side. I wake nightly with a headache around my eyes. Doc thinks could be more a bowel dysfunction and gave me and antispasmotic which I have noticed no relief with. My ultrasound was pristine with no evidence of anything. I am schedule for a PIDA scan tomorrow. I get more pain and feel ill if I eat fried or fatty foods. Does this sound like bowel or gallbladder? I am tired of feel sick.

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of dull pain below the right rib cage wherein the tenderness is localized around the belly button and up the right side. There is also night headache around your eyes.
Since the pain is under the rib cage but palpation shows tenderness near umbilicus, the chances are that it may be more of a colitis or intestinal pathology.
Get the HIDA scan but if it is normal go for the following investigations also:
Stool test for 3 consecutive days.
CT scan of the abdomen with enteroclysis.
Tests of thyroid functions.
A clinical trial with a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole, probiotics too or as per the tests reports.
And dewormin medicines.
I hop[e this should help you to get a relief, get the diagnosis and plan for a proper treatment.
Gall bladder or sphincter of oddi function is a rare condition.
