What Causes Dull Ear Pain Along With Headaches?

I have had an earache for the past 2 days. It started out as a wind sound in one ear then that went away. And I got an earache that I have had the last 2 days that won't go away. It is more of a dull ache. And I developed a headache on top of that today. Thoughts are the only symptoms.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain, the symptoms of earache along with headache seems to be due to ear infection and headache can be radiating pain from the ear..
Other causes of earache can be excess wax buildup, TMJ disorders,foreign body impaction in ear etc..
I would suggest you to consult an ENT physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy,x -ray or MRI scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

In case of infection you can be advised to take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and also antibiotic and analgesic ear drops..
You should also avoid excessive water exposure to ears like swimming..
Avoid picking the ears..
Other conditions will however be treated according to the cause..
