What Causes Dryness And Numbness In The Eyes?

Had a eye exam with dilation on Friday. Said my eyes looked dry and that I had some allergies. That was 5 days ago and now my eyes feel super dry and uncomfortable. The bottom feels numb. I felt fine before exam and now I feel terrible. Any thoughts as to what this could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction.

I recommend using artificial tears.

I also recommend steroid teardrops to treat the dryness.

I suggest drinking a lot of liquids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
