What Causes Drying Up Of Blood In Sinuses?

Hi! I been having a flu for a while. But since 2 days ago my sinuses have dark red blood in it. And now if i cant release it in the nose; it goes down my throat to release. I think it is dry too. And i think its because i kind a force sneeze to release the flu before. But i am worried the blood is dark red. Is there anything that i should know and do. I really cant afford anything much. And no insurance so i really cant get check up. And no money coz no work at all.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These are the symptoms of some old bleeding in sinuses, may be due to some congestion of your sinuses during the episode of flu. These symptoms should go by themselves. But if these persist then a CT scan of Paranasal sinuses is indicated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
