What Causes Dry Round Patches On Thighs?

I have these round dry patches on my thighs. The edges are raised but they do not itch at all. They have been spreading. They seem to go away when I tan but I haven t been in the sun much this summer. They aren t really discolored but you can tell they are there. I put lotion on them but they aren t going away. What could this be?

Round dry patches with raised border suggests the possibility of tinea corporis which is a fungal infection. You must avoid hot and humid climate. Topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole can be applied over the affected area. Oral antifungal tablets like Terbinafine or fluconazole can be used after consulting your dermatologist. Regards
