What Causes Drowsiness In A Child After Head Injury?

my sister was sitting on the sofa holding my 3 months old baby, he sudenly leaned back and hit the back of his head on th wooden table, after the hit a small area at the back of the head was quite warm, and after a while he went to sleep, so can you please let me know if he s going to be ok or is that something seriouse. thanks

Hi,

After head injury you should observe the child carefully in the following 24 hours. If he was drowsy, fainted or vomited within the next 24 hours following the injury then take the child to the hospital to perform an urgent ct scan of the head.
