What Causes Dizzy Spells Along With Severe Headaches?

I got a soccer ball to the head 2 weeks ago. The day after i had severe dizzyness and a massive headache. I am still very dizzy and still have a big headache since that day and i have noticed one ear is now blocked. I had a ct scan the day after it happened and it was all clear. Should i just keep resting and wait for it to get better?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is possible that the symptoms you are experiencing are related to the head injury you sustained. It is important to seek medical attention if you are experiencing severe headaches and dizziness, especially if they persist for more than a few days. These symptoms could be a sign of a concussion or other head injury. The blocked ear could also be related to the injury.

It is good that you had a CT scan and that it was clear, but it is still important to monitor your symptoms and seek medical attention if they persist or worsen. Rest is important for recovery, but if the symptoms continue, you should see a healthcare provider to ensure that there are no other underlying issues. They may recommend further testing or refer you to a specialist, such as a neurologist or an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
