What Causes Dizzy Spells Along With Breathlessness And Tingling Hands?

I have experienced two dizzy spells over the weekend and felt as if I had been drinking with tingling hands and slight breathlessness - the second attacked lasted 15-20 minutes before I felt better . I am a 65 year old female who looks after my 94 year Mom on a full time basis and have also been looking after my two young grandchildren this weekend (this is a one off).

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Dizziness associated with tingling and shortness of breath, may be associated with different possible causes such as:(a) inner ear conditions such as BPPV, menieres or vestibular neuronitis- none of these are life threatening but can cause intense vertigo

(b)heart or lung disease

(c)abnormal electrolytes - eg dehydration

If this recurs, you need to consider seeing your doctor for an assessment which would include physical examination and investigation such as ECG (to take a look at heart rate and rhythm) and blood tests (complete blood count to check for anemia and electrolyte levels).

I hope this helps
