What Causes Dizziness While On Flecainide?

I am a 34 year old female who begin having PVC s Feb 10th. I was placed on Flecanide 2 weeks ago but can not taking the meds because of side effects, which are extreme dizziness and feelings of faint. I will now be taken off of flecanide all together. This morning I took 12.5 mg and yesterday took 25 mg but before that was on 50 mg. How long til it is completely out of my system? I am still having the side effects.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

Its half-life is 13-27 hours so it may take 3-4 half-lives to clear 95% of the drug.

Yes, it may cause dizziness but also check other possible causes of dizziness like BPPV, vestibular neuronitis or labyrinthitis etc.

You may consult your treating doctor before stopping this drug.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
