What Causes Dizziness While On Cymbalta?
I recently was prescribed cymbalta to take the place of effexor. Over several weeks to reduce effexor and increase cymbalta. On the second day of taking cymbalta low dose, I started to have dizzy spells where I needed to be assisted from one place to another. I ended up in the ER on the sixth day. Had MRI and Xrays and EKG. Nothing found. I quit the cymbalta and went back to effexor only and dizziness is gone. Is this a coincidence or should I try again to take cymbalta as prescribed?

Cymbalta can often cause dizziness when it is started; however, this dizziness usually improves after a few days. This should not be a cause of much anxiety.
This should not deter oneself from changing medicines and doing self-medication. I suggest you to consult your treating physician before changing any medicines.
