What Causes Dizziness, Headache And Heartburn In Children?

my 12 years old daughter have been complaining of lightheadedness, dizziness, headaches and heartburn for a while, her pediatrician did blood work everything was normal, vitamin D a little bit low, tried Omeprazole 40mg daily not better, do you think a consult with a GI would be the right thing to do?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Heartburn is caused by regurgitation of stomach contents into esophagus.
This regurgitation causes feeling of heart.
Omeprazole is the appropriate medication prescribed.
It needs to be taken empty stomach and it is effective in controlling the symptoms of regurgitation and heart burn.
Lightheadedness, headache and dizziness can occur due to hypoglycemia, although, there are many other causes of these symptoms.
I suggest you to ensure that your daughter is taking her food in time.
A complete hemogram can be done to check the level of hemoglobin to rule out anemia.
Low vitamin D level needs to be managed by vitamin D supplements.

Thanks and take care
