General & Family Physician Dr. Shreya Kunder's  Response
Hello there,
I can understand your concern. These are symptoms which usually happen to people with anemia. You need to be really working towards trying to get your Hb level to normal. Is there a particular type of anemia you have or is it just because of iron deficiency?
Many a times when Hb (Hemoglobin) is low the brain doesnt get proper oxygen and for this the heart continues to pump at a higher rate and force. So you may feel dizzy and feel the palpitations you felt.Visit your physician and find out the reason you are anemic and try to increase your Hb level.
Till then do not exert yourself too much and include food like green leafy vegetables, fruits, dates etc in your diet to increase iron in your diet.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
