What Causes Dizziness, Fatigue And Disorientation?

My partner is 71 and I took him to hospital 3 days ago with extreme shotness of breath and pain in chest. Heart all good but blood test showed possible clot but mri could not detect any. Sent home with tramel for pain. Chest pain subsided considerably and breathing a bit deeper. His left lung was deflated a bit. Now he cannot stay awake and has no energy and is dizzy and disoriented. Should I be worried and take him back to his dr?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted your partener having chest pain and dyspnea....

So here heart problem chances are more...
You are mentioning positive clot blood report....
So it is better to rule out pulmonary embolism or coronary artery disease....
ECG and 2 D echo will be useful for it....
2D echo should be performed by cardiologist to visualization emboli....
D dimer estimation also done...
If pulmonary embolism present then heparin needed...

If cardiac cause not present then respi cause like COPD or interstitial lung disease rule out by chest x ray and spirometry....

Take care....
