What Causes Dizziness, Earache, Headache, Itching And Burning In Eyes And Nose?

hello im a 43 year old female .Ive been experiencing dizziness, ear ache , ringing in my ears , headaches , itching and burning in my nose and eyes for about a week and tingling in my hands and feet for a several months when i get up from sleeping ...i feel that my symptoms have gotten worse the past couple days, ive scheduled an appointment for next week but im wondering if i should make the trip to the emergency room sooner ..please help

Hi,

You have multiple symptoms related to respiratory and nervous system and most probably not related. Ear ache with ringing and dizziness is suggestive of internal ear inflammation that is of vestibulocochlear apparatus responsible for hearing and balancing.

Hence I would advise you to take an opinion of an ENT surgeon as these need a proper clinical evaluation, examination, endoscopy and necessary further investigations like MRI and CT of mastoids, audiometry. These will give a proper diagnosis so that a specific treatment can be done in the form of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicines along with decongestant, symptomatic and supportive treatment in the form of Cinnarizine and so on.

Take rest for early recovery. As for other symptoms of itching and burning in eyes and nose anti-allergic medicines will help. Tingling in hands and feet for several months can be due to diabetes, hypothyroidism, Vitamin B-12 deficiency and needs proper clinical evaluation, investigations and management as per the cause found.
