What Causes Dizziness, Chest Tightness, Cough And Breathing Problem?
Hi, over the past year my breathing has been getting tricky. I m getting out of breath from walking upstairs and walking too fast, keep in mind I m a teenage girl who s only 125 lbs and in decent shape. When I get up I get really dizzy and sometimes black out. Also my chest sometimes feels tight and I have breathing pains and a bad cough. My dad has asthma and COPD ma day grandfather (dad s dad) died of lung cancer when I was born.

Dizziness on standing may be due to changes in blood pressure, the blood pressure may be be dropping on standing.
This can be checked by the doctor. Can check on sitting and then on standing.
This condition has different causes including heart disease. You may need additional testing such as an ECG or echo to take a look at the heart.
Heart disease is one cause of low blood pressure and also can cause shortness of breath.
