Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Dizziness And Tingling Sensation On The Fingers?
This morning I woke up very dizzy and off balance and assumed it was vertigo. I spent the day resting and the symptoms have subsided. Now I am having some finger tingling with fingers on both hands effected. Are these symptoms something to be concerned with or even related?
Your short history indicates that the cause of dizziness, feeling off balance that settled with rest and tingling of fingers of both the hands indicate that the cause may related. The commonest cause I can think about is Cervical spondilitis. This can give both types of symptoms and thus I would advise you the following: Consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations such as MRI of the cervical spine with angiography for vertebral and carotid arteries if advised so. Take rest. Neck physiotherapy. Related prescription based medications as advised. This will also proves whether the cause is same or different for both the problems and thus treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant, General Surgeon
