What Causes Dizziness And Sensitivity In Nerves After A Head Injury?

I had an auto accident in 2013 and was struck from behind. The impact slammed my head forward then back and I was wearing a ball cap with a metal piece on the back and it got slammed into the base of my skull. No skin abrasions. It also herniated 2 lumbar discs in my back. It has since become a BIG painful problem. I now have constant dull, sometimes sharp pains in my head and I get very dizzy if I tilt my head back on that side. The lumbar discs have completely leaked out and I can only walk 40yards without horrible pain that radiates all the way down to my heel. My senses especially my hearing is very sensitive. My question is why the dizziness and nerves so sensitive?
