What Causes Dizziness And Numbness In The Tongue?

Last Friday I had a sudden dizzy spell with numbing of my tongue and lips (left side). It lasted about 5 minutes. Didn t think much of it, but I ve had it at least once a day since, and multiple times today. I ve never had this before, so am concerned what might be causing it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
dear patient.the pesence of sudden dizziness and associated with numbing of tongue and lips points towards two important causes
1.transient ischemic attack ,that is sudden temporary decreased blood supply to your brain might be associated with some heart condition and is producing your symptoms.
2.anemia. deficiency of oxygen supply can also lead to above symptoms.
i request you to get a 2d echo done for heart. complete blood picture and contact your cardiologist for further advice based on the test.
hope i have answered you question. take care and best of luck
