What Causes Dizziness And Nausea?

The last two days I ve felt consistently dizzy and light headed with some mild nausea/queasiness. I don t have a sinus infection, head cold, or severe congestion in hear or ears. I do have environmental allergy/sinus issues, which have been noticeable the last few days. I very recently had full blood work done with no issues. I haven t added or changed medications or made any lifestyle or dietary changes. I m on a very low dosage of Efexxor, which I ve been on for a few months with no issues. I m 55 and not having any major hormonal problems, except occasional hot flashes. Could severe mold allergies be one of the reasons? That is my worst allergy problem. And I do get barometric migraines, which hasn t happened recently. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

If you have the dizziness and the light head for less than a week and you do not have other symptoms like numbness or weakness in any limbs or any other neurological signs than you can safely watch to not move quickly and avoid falls and if no improvement in a week or earlier if any worsening you will need to see your doctor. A viral condition is most of the time the cause so it is worthy waiting if it is less than a week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Antoneta Zotaj
