What Causes Dizziness And Fainting After Exercising?

I have been working out for about 6 months. I stopped working out for 3 weeks due to the holidays. Today I restarted my workout. I did 3 miles on the treadmill followed by a semi-intensive weight training. I was a little lightheaded after my 3 miles but not a problem. As I was finishing my last weight exercise I progressively became extremely lightheaded to the point that I had to sit down. I started to sweat and felt that I was going to faint. I started to see flashes of white light progressively to the point that I couldn t see anything. I remained sitting for about 10 minutes and the symptoms slowly passed. I should mention that I hadn t eaten breakfast and was working out prior to lunch (no food that day). Could this have been low blood sugar due to the intensive workout or possibly a drop in blood pressure?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
thevkostvprobable cause seems to be low blood sugar as you had not taken any edibles, your blood sugar was already low ,the excersise you did further lowered down the sugar .if the intake of biscuits snacks or glucose lessens these symptoms it goes in favour of low blood sugar .
