What Causes Dizziness And Excessive Yawning After A Cataract Surgery?

Seven years after cataract surgery when I stand I am dizzy and yawning. When I sit or lay down I am fine. I have checked my eyes and they are fine. No crystal breakage in my ears. And physical therapy does not relieve these symptoms. Any thoughts?

Hello,
i can understand your concern. You havent mentioned your age, but i assume your age to be more than 50 from the cataract surgery that you have mentioned.
The problem you have most likely looks like BPPV( Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo) or due to orthostatic hypotension( fall in bp due to sudden standing)
i would suggest yo not to move suddenly.
Consult an ENT doctor initially and medications can be taken accordingly.
Hope i have answered your query. Have a nice day
