What Causes Dizziness Along With Tremors In The Hands And Lips?

my husband is 77 and has been haven all kinds a systems. We have seen a vascular doctor. Dizzy, lost of balance, sometimes he can not stand up straight and he scuffles when he walks. Also he has some tremors in his lower lip and hands. He is forgetful, and at times he is disoriented and/or confused. The doctor said he could have the beginning of Parkinson s and prescribe a med. it seem to work for one day and the morning of the next day. Middle of that day he lost his balance and became a little confused. I think he is having little strokes or Tia s. Also, he is lethargic and very often cold.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,

Regarding your concern, I would explain that his symptoms could be related to a neurodegenerative disorder (like Parkinson's disease or multiple system atrophy).

Coming to this point, I would recommend performing a brain MRI and checking vitamin B12 plasma levels for a possible deficiency.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
