What Causes Dizziness After A Head Injury?

Hi, 4 days back I got hit by cricket ball on the left side of the head while practicing. I had immediate swelling but it has reduced now and pain is also reducing. At times I feel dizzy, especially while lying down and getting up and sitting idle and moving. Is it normal? Can you please advise Me on this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Although swelling is reduced externally, there could be injury inside due to a cerebral concussion, which could be causing dizziness.

Kindly get a CT scan of the head done at the earliest and consult Neurosurgeon with the report for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
