What Causes Diverticulitis After Removing A Colon Polyp?

Ok had a diverticulitis attack over weekend. Never had one before but had colonospy in February, 2 small polyps removed and slight diverticulosis diagnosed. Mother has diverticulosis and has had attacks. Should I expect this to be standard now that I had an attack? I am 59. On liquid diet, cipro and flagel, how long does it take for me to be better. And what can I do to prevent this again?

Hello dear

Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com
I have evaluated your query in details .

* Polyp removal is not going to flare up diverticulitis , there can be
associated contributing factors as diet related , bacterial or viral infection

* To keep it under remission , strict dietary measures with life style
changes are of vital importance .

Hope this will help to clear your doubt .
Wishing you fine recovery .

Always welcome for any further assistance anytime .
