Hi,

Disseminated tuberculosis is a contagious type of wide spread infection of tuberculosis, in which the infection of tuberculosis has spread from the lungs to the other parts of body via hematogenous route with involvement of multiple organs. To confirm the diagnosis of this type of TB, a smear for AFB, made from the tissue of affected organ or culture for Tubercular bacillus taken from the tissue involved should be positive. Thus, it may help in confirming the diagnosis of Disseminated tuberculosis and treatment accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
