What Causes Discomfort In Throat?

Hello, I have had now for at least 6 weeks a feeling of something being stuck in my throat, I can eat and drink with this feeling so it is not causing me problems like that, however, the feeling is constantly there and have a sensation that there is something down my throat. My doctor is sending me for a scan as I have problems with my thyroid, I am on levothyroxine, could there be a connection? If it was food of any kind would is still be there after 6 weeks?
