What Causes Discomfort In The Rib Cage Upon Sneezing?

When I sit certain ways (typically bending forward quickly...while doing mountain climbers....sometimes sneezing) I have a feeling of something moving and getting stuck under the right rib cage. I have to sit up straight or arch my back backwards to get it unstuck . I am 29 and have two kids. A 4 year old and 2 year old. I didn t notice this until after I had children. What could this be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be due to minor contusion or inflammatory conditions like costochondritis.

As of now you can use analgesics/anti inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/seratiopeptdase for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
