What Causes Discomfort In The Pelvic Area?

HI, I m feeling some discomfort in my pelvic area; low (almost close to my groin), and to the right side. It is usually made worse when I pick something up, or when I get up from a low sitting position. It s been around a month since the symptoms started and it is slightly tender when I press where I feel the pain. The pain is not severe...more just really annoying. What should I do about this?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a pulled muscle or musculoskeletal pain.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
