What Causes Discomfort At The Bottom Of Sternum With Painful Breathing?

For the last 4 days I have been experiencing mild discomfort at the very bottom of my sternum. However, when I fill my lungs by taking a deep breath it hurts all the way up to the bottom of my neck. I don t have or ever have had any heartburn (except while pg) or acid reflux issues nor do I think that is the issue now. Whenever I drink anything (cold water) it is also a little painful. It also seems slightly harder to breathe but I m not experiencing any shortness of breath. Without being able to see me what is the most likely issue? Could I have pulled a mussel that is interfering with my diaphrame? I m 39 and still sometime carry my 35 lb 4 year old.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the most common cause of this is reflux esophagitis condition and it can be well managed with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg with Domperidone 30 mg once in day at evening time take care in diet, avoid spicy food, coffee, alcohol, smoking prior to bed, hope this information helps.
