What Causes Discoloration Of Leg Along With Shortness Of Breath?
I have been experiencing a mottled maroon coloring in my lower left leg towards ankle and struggling with shortness of breath and pressure in chest... Feeling like heart is racing don t know if they are related but showed up all of a sudden together... Fast and furious...
Hello and welcome to HCM, Maroon colored discoloration on your lower leg can be due to internal bleeding or hemorrhage. Shortness of breath and pressure in the chest suggest some cardiovascular problem and respiratory system. A doppler study of lower limb vessels and CT scan of chest is required to assess the vascular channels draining leg. Deep vein thrombosis in leg can get dislodged in the vessels of the chest and then get lodged in chest blood vessels. The lodged blood clot in chest blood vessels may be asymptomatic in large majority of cases. Thus, consult your chest specialist for further management.
