Hello,

If a couple is not conceiving in a year after regular unprotected intercourse then examinations are needed. Your fiance needs to have a check called Spermogramme and you will need to have a check with your doctor to see if you are ovulating regularly or not.

To confirm ovulation you may use an ovulation kit and also check progesterone levels after day 21 of your menstrual cycle.

If the sperm examination is normal and you are ovulating then a hysterosalpingogram is needed to evaluate the patency of your fallopian tubes

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
