Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here.. Hi my uncle is taken coumiden and from what i know has thick blood and is making it hard for him to breath today he noticed his ankels swollen and red should be concerned?.

I can understand your concern.
Yes, you should definitely concern for his symptoms.
Swollen ankle, Redness, breathing difficulty etc are more suggestive of congestive heart failure (CHF).
So better to take him to cardiologist and get done blood pressure monitoring, ecg, 2d echo and stress test (trade mill test).
He may need coronary angiography if any of the above is showing abnormality.
He may need diuretics and other cardiac supportive drugs on the basis of reports.
