What Causes Diarrhea And Bloody Stool While Suffering From Jaundice?
Sir my father has heavy jaundice and doing lot of loose motion and sometimes some blood in the stool and has some pain near the anus. His Usg reports are normal but still his stomach is bulging out. His entire body has gone completely dry. and has become very thin except for that stomach
It can be piles like local rectal or anal pathology or infection in the colon. For that, your father should be given an antibiotic course for five days.
Local rectal examination also should be done by proctoscopy. His hydration needs to be maintained through lots of water.
It's advisable to take ORS powder or vital Z powder as well to maintain electrolyte balance.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
