General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be piles like local rectal or anal pathology or infection in the colon. For that, your father should be given an antibiotic course for five days.

Local rectal examination also should be done by proctoscopy. His hydration needs to be maintained through lots of water.

It's advisable to take ORS powder or vital Z powder as well to maintain electrolyte balance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
