What Causes Depression And Anxiety Despite Taking Escitalopram?
Hi, I am currently taking escitalopram 10mg for almost 6 weeks now and feel no improvement at all in my mood and increased anxiety. I m taking stilnoct to help me sleep but since starting this medication I have been more stressed and am now on my second day off work. Could it be that this medication is perhaps not the right one for me? I had hoped to see some sort of improvement by now. I d really appreciate and value any advice or input you may have as I m not getting very far with my psychiatrist at the moment (there s not much consistency in the public healthcare system so it s been a new doctor each time) Thank you for taking the time to read over this. it seems escitalopram is not working for you,because its benefits start to show within 4 weeks time. your psychiatrist may ask you to continue it for another one month. if it still fails than he has to change to different antidepressant without fail.if one class of drug doesnt work,then there are other classess which can be tried.
