General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all you should do a pregnancy home test at least 5 days of delayed period because the first reason for delayed period in sexually active woman is pregnancy.

Then you can use progesterone like hormones (norethisterone) for 7 days and then stop it. Your period will come about 7 days after stopping the pill.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
