General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Delayed periods commonly occur due to generalized ill health, anemia, hormonal imbalances, thyroid issues, PCOS, Cysts, undue stress(psychological &emotional) and Menopausal phase.

If sexually active it can be due to pregnancy. Avoid unprotected sex if you are not on a regular contraceptive pill or a device.

You are suggested to visit a gynae & get physically examined, get all the blood tests & Imaging tests done to rule out any developing pathology.

Your treatment will depend upon the disease & seriousness of the disease. Get treated at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
