Hi,
Yes, it is true that there can be cramps and breast tenderness before the onset of a period. However, absence of morning sickness and other mentioned signs do not rule out the presence of pregnancy. Do you have nipple discharge? Pregnancy that does not have a baby or at times a live baby may give a similar picture. If the period is delayed only by a few days, you can wait for a few days or have a progesterone therapy to obtain withdrawal bleeding. In case you are in a hurry to confirm or rule out pregnancy, ultrasonogram and urine pregnancy test are essential. You may need blood tests for hormones if your Doctor suggests.
Hope this gives a gross picture!!
