What Causes Delayed Periods Along With Light Vaginal Spotting Post Unprotected Sex?

hi, I stopped taking the pill last month- I had an intimate relation with my bf on the day I was ovulating (September 30th) and now I am a week late (Oct 14th was supposed to have it)- I took the pregnancy test last weekend and was negative. Now I have abdominal pain occasionnally and light spotting.. very light ..what should I do?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Since you had intercourse during the time of ovulation and was not on any form of protection or birth control pills, there is always a chance of getting pregnant. Light vaginal spotting could be due to implantation bleed.
Since the urine pregnancy test is negative at this stage, kindly get your blood tested for betaHCG levels and transvaginal ultrasound scan (TVS) to know the status.
In case these tests are negative for pregnancy, you should get your periods shortly.
Kindly consult Gynecologist in case the delay is more for appropriate evaluation and management.
