What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking Primolut N?
Hi doc. I did my abortion on 8 of April 2017. On 21st April doctor ask me to take primulut - N , total of 12 tablets, 1 tablet per day to balance my hormone. On 3rd May is the last pill. Its been 3days passed and until now I havent get my peried. What should I do? Should I take any other medicine. Please help.
Hi Thanks for positng your query on HCM. I have read and understood your concern. You are supposed to have had your menses by now after the abortion. However, prmolut-N being a synthetic female hormone(progesterone) may have delayed it.Bleeding is expected in 2 to 7 days after stopping this drug. You are still on day 3.I will suggest you wait till day 7 and if no bleeding, you see your Doctor for evaluation and a control pelvic ultrasound. Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns. Best regards
